The reiki symbols are activated by the reiki practitioners through different methods such as:
By drawing them with the palm centre, finger or the third eye.
By visualizing them
By spelling out the symbol’s name thrice.
After the symbols have got activated the practitioner may then either re-draw or visualize the symbol on the recipients/ clients chakra, specific areas to be treated or the palms. Watch this video.

Wa alaykum salaam Amel. This is wonderful. I have been lead to reiki recently. My hands now glow with light alhamdulilah. Whats interesting about the symbols are, I have been drawing cho ku rei since I was about age 6. All the time on pieces of paper, even still today. I just learned this symbol mmm, a week ago..lol. The natural knowing is inside us. :) I even have a picture of that drawing on my fb page in a journal I have posted. The picture was drawn in 1998. Life is so amazing. <3
